Cheep But Functional Grill Review

today i show you guys the grill I picked up this week for $20 at Walmart. This grill is what you would expect from a cheep small grill like nothing fits just as it should there are a few functions missing (like a ash release on the bottom) however it is still very functional for a non perfectionist grilling experience. as for me I will be up grading this fall or next summer to a better grill ( nothing over $70 because i enjoy my charcoal grills better then gas grills.

This grill is good for direct searing and for foods that only need a few minutes of indirect heat, but it is not good for low and slow cooking. If you just want a cheap grill for burgers and hot dogs this is the way to go.

My advise: Do a preburn before you put food on this thing. I put all my meat on one side and the coals on the other. after 10 minutes I opened her up and I could see black smoke and smell paint burning. Grease from the meat had caught fire in the pan and was burning the paint I took the meat off and put it all in the oven and spread the coals around . Hopefully it’ll burn off all the paint so I can use it next time. Waiting for the meat to get done in the oven and I’m going to test a small piece. If it tastes like paint I guess it’s Mc. Danalds for dinner lol

We just got home with one of these Wallmart 20.00 specials! I have a 1000 dollar Traeger Pellet smoker which we love and use all the time but wanted something for times when we just want to sear up some steaks , burgers or Dogs. It may not be a great grill but I bet it’ll do the grunt work just fine.
