Weber Go Anywhere Mod Suggestions

Wanted to show some of the things I put in my Weber Go Anywhere grill that will make it even better as a portable charcoal grill. We used to pack these things in a box when we would take the boat out or stay overnight in a campground. Now everything we need is in a nice portable package. Doing these things make it the Weber Grab and Go Anywhere grill! Contact info for the 2 products I mention are below.

GREAT NEWS!!!

GrillGrates now has a brand new set available specifically for the Weber Go Anywhere grill. They list at $49.99 and come with …… “Includes three cut to fit GrillGrate panels along with a short handled GrateTool which packs away inside the grill.” They even made the short handle spatula to boot! Thanks GrillGrates. To make it easy here is a link to their webpage if anyone wishes to order …… http://www.grillgrate.com/grillgrates-for-the-weber-go-anywhere-grill/

I’ll see if I can knock out a follow up video actually cooking something on these grates soon.

You know, some say there’s no point in building a better mousetrap. Well, in terms of the Go-Anywhere, thanks for building a far better better mousetrap. Your video is EXCELLENT. One of the more useful and complete I’ve seen recently Since the proof of the pudding is always in the eating, wanted you to know I ordered the grill on Sat and the 3-part 13.75 grillgrates moments ago. Saw other replacement grates but I prefer the grillgrate you demonstrated. Good job and thanks again from Northern NJ.

Josh Howell says:

This is brilliant. I was almost convinced to buy a gas Weber Q 1200, but this looks like a portable version of what I know best: A Weber kettle with a charcoal chimney and GrillGrates! I’m also thinking my 16″ flat skewers would lay across this grill nicely without the grate in place! the rectangle shape and dual top vents make it a very versatile grill.

Ian Phillips says:

Just bought one of these bbq’s. Love the modification. Thanks for sharing. Now to find a grill here in the uk.
