Lodge Sportsman Grill Review:
I love cooking on the Lodge Hibachi. It’s a great little cast iron grill that’s easy to take with you. I take it car camping with me almost every time. I also use it to cook a lot of my food every Sunday to get ready for the week!
The Lodge Sportsman grill is my go-to grill. It’s really easy to use, holds heat well, and can support a pretty surprising amount of food. The top grate is removable, which is handy if you want to make kabobs.
It has a draft door that slides open or closed to control your heat. Higher up it has a trap door so you can easily add coals without removing the top grate. A lot of times though, I like to just remove the top grate to add coals.
It’s also a great little grill to take with me car camping. It’s easy for one person to handle, doesn’t take up much space, and makes great food.
It’s also really easy to clean. Just dump it out into a trash bag or into an ash pile. Then you can just use a stiff brush to knock the rest of the ashes out.

Another use for my collection of damaged arrows . Just received my lodge a week ago, First steak down many more to go.
My caste iron lodge is the best grill surface on any of my 4 grills.
I feel so bad for all the people in that parking lot smelling that delicious meat grilling mmmmmm
Really need to add one of these to my collection!
I’ve got 4 Webers, 1 gas, 3 charcoal, but no Hibachi style grill.
we have one and we LOVE it too!!!
Dude, why are u grilling on the street?
Get a table and save your back
i just got a good deal on one from ebay. with shipping its cost 35$. I think thats pretty good deal being I see them new for at least 80$ or more in the past? Anyway. its in good shape. the firebowl is painted green though? im not sure why? It seems pretty new but I have some work to do to clean it up. I am a fan of mini hibachis and enjoy them. So many different ones out there and so interesting seeing others serious collections. I had a really nice one for years but I lost it unfortunately at another property. Im a charcoal guy. My preference. I even have a couple of the small table type Japanese grills and the binto chan? special charcoal they use for the yakitori. Its an interest of mine. be well.
Can you put that on a wood table top and cook without burning the table?
