I have horrible temp swings. I’ll have it set to 200 and it anywhere from 200-325. That’s at p4 setting. Maybe I got a defective one.

Ouch! That window must have scared the bejeebus out of you! On my GMG, it’s happened to me just once when I was burning at 450-500. When I shut down, the pellets kept burning up into the auger and it had a hard time starting the next time. That happen to you yet?

I have the same pellet smoker… It does the job for me with no complaints… I always run mine on P 6…
