How to make a really good, cheap charcoal grill

This functional charcoal grill costs hardly anything to make and it will work great for cooking hotdogs, hamburgers and just about anything. It uses components of my Dutch oven survival kit.

Another is to use a kid’s metal wagon or small wheelbarrow. Put sand in bottom. Add 1/2 bricks for DO legs. Or, with more sand to protect bottom from charcoal, put grate across the top to grill. Same thing with metal trashcan lid. Line inside with foil. Add sand. These to isolate galv finish from heat to avoid fumes.

Good info!

I actually used an old wok I bought from Goodwill. Just drill some holes in the bottom and good to go.
