Grilling season is upon us and we got a brand NEW Grill that we LOVE! I cooked for 20 people over memorial day and the food turned out so good. This bad boy can go camping w/ you too.
When it comes to grilling, SIZE DOES MATTER, and bigger is NOT better…. Find out why in this review of the #weber Q1200!

Got my eye on this grill… I will have it!!
One thing to note when using the tank adapter hose, is to open the tank valve and wait few minutes before lighting the grill. This allows the hose to properly fill with propane so the regulator doesn’t incorrectly sense there is a leak (because the pressure is low), and then restrict the gas flow. This is common when the regular is so far away from the propane tank, as the hose needs time to fill.
Another option is to use a one pound tank refill adapter. Then you can reuse the small canisters by filling them up from the larger tanks. There are videos about doing this online, it’s so easy and saves you money.
The key to cooking steaks on this grill is to redline the temp gauge before use. The Q is a great grill when you know how to use it.
You never made a video with the cookbook!
One quick question do you have to season this grill?
After you install the converter hose to use the 20# tank can you just disconnect the hose and use the disposable canister?
I just bought one of these for a new apartment I moved into. My only concern is that my patio is all wood (3rd floor) and I don’t quite have enough room for the recommended 2 feet of distance the manual warns about. It’s about 1.5 feet to the left and right, and two or more feet in all other directions.
If I keep it clean, how controllable is the flame?
Thank you just made my decision
How long do the small propane canisters last?
Thanks,
GOT THIS FOR MOTHER’s DAY! so excited!
Another good point….. IT’S A FREAKING WEBER!!!
be nice if they had a locking mechanism for the lid when you carry it,
Is that a battery pack in your pocket, or are you just excited about the BBQ?
What size are those portable propane cans? How long do they last for?
Great video Dave. Concise and to the point.
